Change Log - v1.0.1.n

  • v1.0.1.1 - 12 Oct 2011
    • Bug Fix - If you add a new paint system, paint system selection simply doesn't work as intended.

    • NEW PAINT SYSTEMS - I found out today that Rust-oleum makes a line of camouflage paints, so I added an appropriate paint system for it. I also added a paint system that combines the Krylon and Rustoleum paint systems into a single paint system.

  • v1.0.1.0 - 10 Oct 2011 - Released for public use.

Change Log - v1.0.0.n (beta)

  • v1.0.0.5 - 10 Oct 2011
    • When the user tried to flip or mirror the visualized weapon after first rotating and/or scaling it, the weapon completely disapears from the panel.

  • v1.0.0.4 - 08 Oct 2011
    • In the Advanced Weapon window, if you changed a layer setting and then clicked the OK button without first redrawing the weapon, the weapon visualized on the loaded environment image would not reflect the last layer change(s) you made.

    • NEW FEATURE! Someone on the AR15.COM (user ID is "brass") forums mentioned that looking at a black-and-white rendering of the environment image and the camouflaged weapon would rveal weakneesses in your color selection and pattern, stating that if your weapon "got lost" under such conditions, you were on the right track as far as effectiveness of your camouflage was concerned. The new feature is a Monochrome button that changes the scene to black and white (and back to color again) so that you can evaluate your visualized weapon under those conditions.

  • v1.0.0.3 - 06 Oct 2011
    • Added two more camouflage patterns - MARPAT, and MARPAT Large. The MARPAT is more appropriate for rifles, and the MARPAT Large is more appropriate for pistols, but that doesn't mean you can't use these patterns on anything you want.

    • New feature - from the Advanced Visualization window, the user can now specify the desired weapon that is to be used as the default weapon (and that shows up when he chooses Simple Visualization).

    • Added tooltips for all of the controls to ease the paint of not having any documentation.

    • reworked the main window so that the user can't use certain controls until they've performed all the necessary steps.

    • When the user re-visualizes the weapon, the scale, rotation, and location are reset to their default values before the visualized weapon is rendered.

    • New feature - in the Advanced Visualization window, the user can now elect to either use the discovered environment colors, or a group of colors specified within the current paint system (such as one of the Duracoat pattern color sets, like Desert Mirage Flage).

    • In the Advanced Visualization window, selecting a different weapon or pattern now causes an immediate update of the rendered weapon.

  • v1.0.0.2 - 04 Oct 2011
    • I remembered that I added some colors to the Duracoat paint system item, and because I didn't have the actual color values at the time, they'll all show up as white. I've added the actual color info.

    • Previously, if you turn off all weapon layers in the advanced visualization form, it will render a completely blank image. While there's really nothing wrong with that (because at least the app doesn't crash as a result - grin), I modified the code to at least produce the select weapon's outline.

    • Rearranged the Layers panel Advanced Visualization form to accomodate a future feature (selecting a color group to apply to a weapon). This feature isn't yet available, but some of the visuals and support code are there.

    • On a Linux system, the weapon templates weren't loading. The problem is that the Linux file system is case-sensitive, and the code wasn't taking that into consideration for the weapons data folder.

  • v1.0.0.1 - 03 Oct 2011
    • Fixed a problem that caused the program to crash if the user switched between simple and advanced visualizations more than once.

    • Made the render panel in the Advanced Visualization form larger to avoid image clipping on the pistol weapon template.

    • Added the beginnings of being able to retrieve/save camo color groups for easy recall.

    • Added notice on Saved Objects tab (on the main form) to inform the user that there's nothing there yet.

  • v1.0.0.0 - 02 Oct 2011 - Released for limited testing
